Caregiver

Pegg, who has been an organic farmer for 50 years, became certified to grow medical marijuana at the request of a friend. In Maine these growers are called “Caregivers” and under the current law they are allowed to provide for up to 5 registered patients. As laws around growing or possessing cannabis for recreational use in Maine become more lax caregivers who once had a dedicated client base are seeing less demand as patients find greater selection at dispensaries or in the “grey market”.
