I was born in a small mill town in northern New Hampshire. In high school I would borrow my dad's camera to photograph my friends skateboarding, snowboarding, or just hanging out. After high school I moved to Rochester, NY to get my B.F.A. in Photography at Rochester Institute of Technology.
In the summer of 1998 I moved to an apartment in Brooklyn, NY that I am still trying to forget and began assisting a bunch of great photographers before getting my own start.
I'm drawn to people and process. I like seeing how things come together, whether it's an art project or a political movement, or how people experience events or locations.
