Harpswell Lobster Boat Race
In 2018 Larry Ward worked with others in the community to bring the annual lobster boat race back to Harpswell, Maine after a 4 year hiatus. That year they raised nearly $10,000 for local service groups. On April 17th, 2019 Larry Ward, who suffered from congestive heart failure, passed away.
On July 28th, 2019 the 28th annual Harpswell Lobster Boat Races were held once again. Before the start of the race Larry’s family spread his ashes upon the starting line.
